Texas Beach Volleyball Academy 2020

A Statewide collaboration of training and coaching beach volleyball athletes

The initial goal of creating a training academy is to get beach athletes working together in competitive groups prior to events, providing further perspectives, and opportunities for adult and junior beach players to grow their game and network beyond their current environment

The Academy fully supports the Club and Organization model as the TXBVA is made up of clubs/organizations itself

On the junior side there will be a zero tolerance policy for coaches, parents, and players recruiting athletes to play for their club. Growing the game does NOT consist of proactively taking players from other clubs/organizations. Putting in the work and getting new athletes to the game, and showing a new player the beach game is growing the game

Drills, games, and evaluation to improve the beach athletes will be the primary focus

Positive energy, encouragement, and fun will be a few core components of training at the Academy

You will always have your club. your organization, your trainer who will handle 98% of your development and training opportunities. The Texas Beach Volleyball Academy is simply a supplement and opportunity to get further feedback and reps if there is a training day in your area

The Academy training days might simply consist of courts being open for players to get reps in on their own

Further details on training for Adults and Juniors will be coming as we intro the Academy to the State
